Mary Whelan
Ambassador of Ireland to the Kingdom of the Netherlands
Mary Whelan has been Ambassador of Ireland to the Kingdom of the Netherlands since November 2009. Prior to taking up duty in The Hague she was Director General of the Promoting Ireland Abroad Division at the Department of Foreign Affairs’ headquarters, Dublin (2006-2009). Before that, she was Permanent Representative of Ireland to the United Nations, Geneva (2001-2006).
